One of the oddest transfer rumors of the January transfer window emerged on Monday with reports that Barcelona are set to sign Kevin-Prince Boateng from Sassuolo.

The only thing is that it’s being reported just about everywhere which very much suggests that the 31-year-old is on his way to the Camp Nou.

Sky Sports News report Barca will spend £1.75 million to bring him in on loan with an option to sign him permanently for £7m.

The Guardian reckon the forward’s agents have already agreed terms, and he is expected in Barcelona on Monday to seal the deal.

Over in Spain there’s a similar theme, RAC1 have the same story, while Marca report that Boateng has already said goodbye to his Sassuolo team-mates.

Meanwhile, Sport talk about how Boateng is the new No.9 chosen to replace Munir.

It’s a transfer that’s really come out of the blue, so tell us what you think in the comments below!
