PSG plot Barcelona revenge - they want Coutinho

Today’s rumors start with a rather interesting story about how PSG are plotting revenge on Barcelona for beating them to the signing of Frenkie de Jong.

Apparently the Ligue 1 side plan to get their own back by going after Philippe Coutinho, that’s according to RMC journalist Daniel Riolo (via Sport).

Thing is, Coutinho only signed a year ago from Liverpool and has a whopping €400 million release clause in his contract which puts him out PSG’s reach.

Barcelona and Real Betis to sign Emerson

Over at Marca there’s news that Barcelona and Real Betis are going to jointly sign young Brazilian full-back Emerson.

It sounds a bit of a weird deal, but basically the youngster would initially join Quique Setien’s side as back-up to Diego Lainez.

Barcelona would apparently pay some of the transfer fee and also have “a percentage of the player’s rights and first-option of acquisition in the future.”

Barcelona worried about Malcom after Sevilla defeat

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo are a little worried about Malcom after Barcelona’s defeat to Sevilla in the Copa del Rey.

The Brazilian was given a rare start in the match and missed a great chance to score late in the first half.

That miss appears to have affected Malcom, and Barcelona are also concerned that he missed another good chance against Levante.

Barcelona need a big comeback against Sevilla to stay in the Copa del Rey, and because of that it looks unlikely Malcom will play in the return leg.
