Ernesto Valverde’s comments earlier this week that he’s unsure if he’ll be at Barcelona next season have prompted fresh speculation over who could replace him.
Real Betis boss Quique Setien is regularly linked with the Barcelona hotseat, and so it was little surprise when he was asked about the speculation in his pre-match press conference.
“I have a contract with Betis, I’m doing really well here and we keep working hard with enthusiasm,” he said.
”[Barca links] flatter me but I would be flattered to be linked with any other team, because I am very respectful of every side.”

Setien joined Betis in 2017 and signed a three-year deal with the club which runs until 2020, and there have been rumors he may be offered a contract extension.
His comments give little away as to what he’s really thinking, but it’s easy to see why he’s linked with the Barcelona job given the style of football his teams play.
