Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has responded to rumors Inter Milan could look to land Arturo Vidal in the January transfer window.

Vidal has this week warned Barcelona he could look to move away from the club if he “doesn’t feel important” at the Camp Nou.

Marotta and Conte both worked with Vidal during his time at Juventus, and the Inter CEO admits he is an attractive transfer target.

“He is an important player on the world stage and both Conte and I are tied to him because of our great past together,” he said.

”We have great considerations of him. I think a lot of teams would like to sign him, but unfortunately he’s at Barcelona. However, thoughts can certainly be made.”

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde played down Vidal’s comments in his pre-match press conference on Saturday saying the club were very happy with him and he didn’t think the Chile international was trying to put pressure on the club with his comments.
