Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic said after Sunday’s win over Atletico Madrid that he doesn’t understand his current situation at the club.
The Croatia international has spent a large amount of time on the bench this season after falling out of favour following the arrival of Frenkie de Jong.
Rakitic has started the club’s last two games, against Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid, and offered his thoughts after the match.
“I want to try and turn this situation around. If you feel bad or sad, you must leave it behind.
”I don’t know what will happen [in the future], but there is no better place to play than at Barcelona. I want to do my best. If it can be here, all the better.”
”I don’t understand the situation because I want to play. If I can play, there’s no better place than Barcelona. I want to enjoy every day and if it can be here, all the better.”

The Croatia international has previously spoken about his disappointment at his lack of game time at the Camp Nou, leading to speculation he could be sold in January if a suitable offer arrives.
