Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the race for Ivan Rakitic, according to Sport.
The midfielder has long been in contract talks with Barcelona, and long been in transfer rumors in the papers. The contract standoff will likely result in a transfer out of Barcelona this summer if talks don’t improve, the main question is for where.
Chelsea, before that lovely transfer ban, Manchester United, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and PSG have all thrown their hat in the mix for Rakitic. His production hasn’t been what it was last year, but he is still capable of big moments in bigger games.
The reports still signal Rakitic wants to stay at Barcelona, but with the arrival of Frenkie de Jong and the lack of a concrete contract in place, that option is looking less likely by the day.
