Jordi Alba agrees new five-year Barcelona deal

Barcelona confirmed on Thursday they have agreed a new five-year deal with left-back Jordi Alba.

The contract extension is designed to keep him at the Camp Nou until the summer of 2024 when he’ll be 35.

The new deal also contains a buyout clause set at €500 million, and he’ll put pen to paper on the paperwork shortly.

It’s the news we’ve been waiting on for a little while now and effectively ties Alba to Barcelona for the remainder of his career.

The defender has enjoyed another brilliant campaign for Barcelona this time around, and we’re going to be able to enjoy watching him for some time yet to come.
