Samuel Umtiti would be happy to have Antoine Griezmann at Barcelona

Samuel Umtiti is currently on international duty with France and has been quizzed about international team-mate Antoine Griezmann.

Rumours have resurfaced recently that Barcelona could move for Griezmann again, and Umtiti says he would be happy to have the forward at the Camp Nou.

“Would I be happy if they told me Griezmann was joining Barcelona? Yes. Would he fit in here? Yes. Have I spoken about it with him? No, absolutely not,” he said.

“I know he’s very happy in Madrid and that things are going well. Atletico is a team which plays for him.

“In our career we have to make decisions we later regret.. I don’t know. He’s happy there, although he could play for any side in the world. The most important thing is that he’s happy.”

Umtiti played all 90 minutes of France’s 4-1 Euro 2020 qualifier victory over Moldova on Friday, with Griezmann opening the scoring for Les Bleus.

France are in action again on Monday, as they take on Iceland in Paris.
