Samuel Umtiti is reportedly willing to stick out his contract at Barcelona, according to L’Equipe. The report comes after a time when Umtiti wasn’t getting enough playing time. Umtiti was the first choice to play alongside Gerard Pique, but due to injury problems he’s lost favor in the starting lineup to Clement Lenglet.

Umtiti’s contract currently runs till 2023 and there were reports that due to the lack of playing time he was open to leaving to a Serie A or Premier League side. However, the most recent says that Umtiti has shut down transfer rumors and talked to his agents.

The buyout clause for Umtiti is €500m, so if anyone wanted to throw 70-90m at him, they would need to be in the spending mood.
