Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says he knows what will happen with Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt in the summer transfer window.

The centre-back has been linked with several top clubs including Barcelona and Juventus, and Bartomeu admitted he was a big fan of the 19-year-old.

“There will be time to speak about him. Each year the club has an interest in making signings and this summer will be the same. De Ligt, like the other best players, is on the table.

”He is a great player and a great centre-back. I know what will happen with him but it’s not the moment [to talk].”

De Ligt has said recently he hasn’t made up his mind about his future yet, so it looks like we might have to wait a little while to find out where he’ll be playing next season.
