Barcelona are reportedly not ruling out the possibility of an Ernesto Valverde exit after the horrendous loss at Liverpool midweek, according to Marca. The loss of course saw Barcelona exit the Champions League after having a 3-0 lead in the semi-finals over the Reds.

Valverde has already renewed his contract at the club in February. Barcelona of course have one more important match this season, the Cop del Rey final on May 25th, and the evaluation of Valverde’s place in the organization will take place afterwards.

Two names that have already popped up as replacements are Erik ten Hag and Ronald Koeman. Although there has yet to be anything solid in terms of a Valverde exit. Sometimes brutal losses are simply the players’ fault, and that’s what Barcelona have to evaluate.
