Barcelona are reportedly considering Ronald Koeman and Erik ten Hag for the job of manager. The role is of course still taken by Ernesto Valverde, but after losing to Liverpool in heartbreaking fashion, the Barcelona boss is on the ropes, according to the Evening Standard.
Koeman seems to be the odds on favorite to take the job should Valverde be fired, but Xavi Hernandez is viewed as the long term boss, ala Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid. Everyone loves the story of the former club legend becoming the manager who brings the club back to glory. However, it seems they don’t want to give Xavi the reigns just yet.
In the meantime they need to make a decision about the future of Ernesto. That decision will likely come after the Copa del Rey later this month.
