Barcelona negotiating Griezmann deal
Today’s rumors start with news that Barcelona have finally got around to negotiating a deal for Antoine Griezmann.
According to L’Equipe, the two sides met last week and Barcelona are hoping to sign the Frenchman for just less than his €120 million release clause.
The Spanish champions would also quite like to lower the fee by including a player, but the thing is Atletico want Nelson Semedo and Barca don’t want to let him go.
But Atletico really want Semedo...
Yet that is not putting off Atletico, according to Sport, who report that Diego Simeone’s side are pushing hard to land Semedo. They report Barca won’t include him in a deal for Griezmann but could consider selling him in a separate transfer.
The full-back wants to leave to play regularly and be first choice, and while Barca don’t really want to sell they do need to let some players go to raise funds.
Semedo’s release clause is set at €100m and Barcelona want at least €50m. However, Atletico are said to be thinking more along the lines of €30m.
