La Liga president Javier Tebas has said he would prefer it if Neymar did not return to Barcelona this summer because he is not a “good example.”

Speculation continues to swirl that the Brazilian will leave Paris Saint-Germain and move back to the Camp Nout, but it is not a move that Tebas wants to see happen.

“I’d rather Neymar didn’t come to La Liga because he’s not a good example,” he said.

”He can be a great player, but behaviour is also very important in terms of the values we try to put across.

”We always have to bring great players to LaLiga, but in Neymar’s case, this behaviour isn’t good for the competition because it’s about if the player has done this or that.

”We’ve worked hard at La Liga to maintain [certain] values and we don’t want to change this image.”

Tebas also spoke about the financial ramifications of such a move and said Barcelona would have to sell a player if Neymar arrived to comply with FFP regulations.
