Barcelona have reportedly been ‘days away’ from signing Antoine Griezmann for some time now, but the latest round of rumors reckon the club are, yep you’ve guessed it, ‘days away’ from signing Antoine Griezmann.
Let’s start off with Sport who have a quite unflattering picture of Griezmann on his holidays in Ibiza on their front cover:

Of course Griezmann is supposed to be with Atletico Madrid for pre-season training but is reportedly in Ibiza with his family waiting for the call to fly straight to Barcelona.
The report states that the transfer is in its final stages, that Barcelona are in a position to pay his €120 million release clause and that Griezmann could arrive on Sunday night ready for the club’s first training session on Monday.
The World Cup winner is also all over the front page of Mundo Deportivo on Thursday, with news that Barcelona hope to pay his release clause on Friday or at the very latest on Monday.

MD go a step further than the usual Griezmann being a ‘few days’ away from Barcelona and reckon that now ‘it’s a matter of hours’ before he gets the call saying his future is all wrapped up.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has also posted an update and brought news too that Barcelona have refused to include Nelson Semedo in the deal.
Barcelona are back to work on Sunday when the players arrive for medical checks before their first training session on Monday, but it still remains to be seen if Griezmann will be in attendance too.
