Barcelona announced on Friday they have signed Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
The forward joins on a five-year deal with a buyout clause of €800 million.
The club have ended a long-running transfer saga by paying the 28-year-old’s €120 million buyout clause, and the forward will now join up with the club for pre-season.
Griezmann is expected to be officially unveiled as a Barcelona player on Sunday and join up with his new team-mates on Monday for pre-season training, although the club is yet to confirm the details.
The 28-year-old’s arrival will not be universally popular given he snubbed a move to Barcelona last summer, while rumors have claimed the dressing room would not welcome his arrival.
Griezmann scored 133 goals in 257 appearances in his five years with Atletico but announced his intention to depart the club back in May.
