PSG boss Thomas Tuchel offered a fresh update on Neymar’s future after his club’s surprise Ligue 1 defeat to Rennes on Sunday night.
The French champions were once again without the Brazilian for the clash but slipped to a surprise 2-1 defeat.
Neymar continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona, but Tuchel says he will not be allowed to leave unless a replacement is brought in.
“We must replace him before we can sell him. Neymar is a player who needs a replacement. This situation won’t end today or tomorrow.
“If he stays, that would be important for us because he’s skilled at one-on-ones and every team need a player like him.
“He can’t play right now because he hasn’t trained much and risks another injury so soon.”
Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has been linked with a big-money move to PSG in recent days, and a meeting between the two parties is reportedly scheduled for Tuesday.
