Despite real conversations between Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur on a possible loan deal for Philippe Coutinho, the move is not happening. According to Sky Sports, Coutinho has turned down a move to North London and the negotiations will be terminated.

Coutinho has been linked with a return to the Premier League for a while now, and after the links with Arsenal didn’t work he is now not going to Tottenham. Liverpool have no interest in signing him, and Manchester United are not an option for Coutinho who does not fancy a move to a Liverpool rival.

Unless Coutinho is involved in an improbable players-plus-cash deal with PSG for Neymar, it looks like the Brazilian is indeed staying with Barça.
