Philippe Coutinho and Arturo Vidal NOT on Barcelona bench against Napoli

Are they just not fit or is there something else?

Barcelona sent their normal pre-match tweets with the starting XI and the players on the bench for Wednesday’s friendly against Napoli, but people noticed two important names that are NOT there.

Can you see it?

Yes, Philippe Coutinho and Arturo Vidal are missing from the bench, which only fuels speculation about their future. Coutinho may or may not be leaving for the Premier League, Vidal may or may not be leaving for Inter Milan, and they may prefer not to be involved if their heads are not in the game. Football can be a dangerous sport if you’re not focused.

But this could simply be Vidal and Coutinho not being fit to play after just one training session since returning from the Copa América and there’s no reason to worry about them leaving the club. Although it is interesting that they were named in the squad and sat on the bench for the Joan Gamper Trophy last Sunday, and that was the day they returned from vacation. Is it possible they were fit at least for the bench three days ago wtih no training sessions but aren’t now?

Anyway, this won’t help quiet down the rumors, that’s for sure.
