Rafinha has been officially presented as a Celta Vigo player after sealing a late loan move to Balaidos and has been talking about why he opted to make the move.

The Brazilian had enjoyed a bright start to the season with Ernesto Valverde’s side but was clearly not expecting to see much game time if he’d stayed at the Camp Nou.

“It is normal that when you are playing and feeling so good in the best club in the world, it is always difficult to have to say goodbye.

“The same thing happens when you feel so good, but you know that it will be difficult to have the opportunities you want.

“Feeling like how I felt, the best thing I could do was look for an opportunity in another club.”

Rafinha will be hoping to make his Celta debut when La Liga resumes after the international break. Celta take on Granada and then face a tough trip to Atletico Madrid.
