Xavi has reportedly turned down the chance to move to Barcelona and replace Ernesto Valverde as manager but is willing to consider a summer move to the Camp Nou.

After a frantic few days of speculation concerning Xavi and Barcelona the latest reports suggest the Al Sadd coach is not ready to return home just yet.

AFP Sport are reporting Xavi has told Barcelona no for now after talks with Eric Abidal and chief executive Oscar Grau, and the pair on now on their way back to Spain.

Xavi wants more time and could continue talks next week or wait until the summer, after his Al Sadd contract expires, to talk to the Spanish champions again

Mundo Deportivo, Sport, ESPN and RAC1 are reporting the same line and say that Xavi has not ruled out becoming Barcelona boss but has decided now is not the right time.
