Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has played down rumors the Italian champions could swap Federico Bernardeschi for Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
There has been plenty of speculation in Italy and Spain over the last 24 hours that the two clubs have started talking about a swap deal involving the duo once again.
The move was reportedly on the agenda in the summer but failed to happen and has now reared its head again now the transfer window has reopened.
Sarri was asked about the rumors in his pre-match press conference and said: “Nobody said anything to me, so as far as I am concerned, it’s not an issue.”
Even so this pretty curious rumor keeps on popping up even though swap deals are notoriously difficult to pull off and happen pretty infrequently in football.
