Carles Perez’s move from Barcelona to Roma appears to be in some doubt, according to the latest rumors.
Speculation on Monday suggested that the deal was all done and Perez would fly to Italy on Tuesday to have a medical and put pen to paper on a contract.
However, Sport are reporting that Barcelona aren’t happy with the proposed transfer and won’t sell Perez unless there is a buyback option in the deal.
Roma’s sporting director Gianluca Petrechi said at the weekend that there would not be such clause in Perez’s contract because “if the player comes to Roma, he will be a Roma player.”
Yet Barca will only let him go if Roma agree to the clause and are happy for him to stay at the Camp Nou, even though he may hardly play, if the Serie A side refuse their request.
