Ousmane Dembele’s name keeps cropping up in the gossip columns as the end of the transfer window nears.
The latest reports suggest that Manchester United are still keen, but the talk is now very much of a loan deal for the Frenchman.
Previous speculation has claimed Dembele doesn’t want to leave Barca right now, while Ronald Koeman was asked about the rumors in his presser and was pretty non-committal.
“The first thing to say is that it is up to the club and to the player. But he is with us and as we’ve seen in recent weeks I am counting on him....he has to wait to play but he is training well, getting fitter. I want to say that I am counting on him.”
Meanwhile, Rafinha’s future is also the subject of speculation, but the Brazilian has decided he’s not going anywhere until January.
The 27-year-old has been left out of Koeman’s squad for the trip to Celta, and the Dutch coach explained he might be better off leaving.
“For the players who don’t have much chance of playing, it’s better to leave. We have a lot of midfielders, he was on the previous list but not on this one, these are technical decisions.”
According to Sport, Rafinha isn’t going anywhere until January at least. He’s not been convinced by the offers he’s received so far and will wait a few months to decide his next move.
