Barcelona look set to fail in their attempts to bring in Memphis Depay from Lyon before the close of the transfer window.

The Dutchman is wanted at the Camp Nou by new boss Ronald Koeman to help replace Luis Suarez who has left for Atletico Madrid.

However, Memphis will not be heading to La Liga this summer, according to a club source.

“The deadline has passed - neither Memphis nor Houssem are going to leave. They will train today & be in the squad tomorrow.”

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has already said he wanted the club’s transfer business wrapped up by Friday, and it looks like he will stick to his word.

Koeman spoke about Barcelona’s transfer business earlier today in his presser when he said he still wanted two more signings, a new center-back and a new No. 9.
