Barcelona are still working on signing another forward. The process, made more complicated by Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez’s injuries, has seen them turn to Willian Jose.
The Real Sociedad striker was a player that Barcelona looked at as a potential option. The price for Jose was nearing 50 million euros. Although his release clause is 70 million and Sociedad only own 70 percent of his sell-on rights.
The steep price and complicated purchasing options make this a difficult one for Barcelona. It seems like the pursuit of a forward will carry on without Jose as an option. If Barcelona are going to spend that much on a striker, it doesn’t seem like it will be a rushed decision. Unfortunately for Barcelona, at the moment, time isn’t readily available.
