Real Sociedad manager Imanol Alguacil has told Barcelona they can pretty much forget about trying to sign Willian Jose.

The forward is one of several players being linked with a move to the Camp Nou to come in and replace Ousmane Dembele.

Alguacil says Barcelona can have Willian Jose if they pay his release clause but is expecting the 28-year-old to stay with the Basque side.

“If they put the 70 million euros on the table then fine, there’s nothing left to say,” he said.

“The whole thing about Willian José is starting to get a bit much. He’s our player and he wants to continue to be our player. I don’t know how long for but as far as I understand it he’ll be with us until the end of the season.”

Barcelona are not expected to spend big on their emergency transfer, with rumors suggesting the club only want to pay around €15 million.
