Getafe take up purchase option on Barcelona’s Marc Cucurella - report

Getafe have reportedly taken up their purchase option to sign Marc Cucurella on a permanent deal from Barcelona for €6 million.

The 21-year-old joined on a season-long loan in July and has become a regular in Jose Bordalas’s impressive team.

Marca report that Getafe have now exercised their purchase option, although the deal does mean that Barca are entitled to 40 per cent of any future sale.

There have been reports of interest in Cucurella from a number of top sides in recent days.

Premier League side Chelsea are believed to be interested, along with Napoil and Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach.
