Barcelona must choose between signing either Neymar or Lautaro Martinez in the summer transfer window after seeing their finances take a hit due to the coronavirus outbreak.
ESPN report that “various sources” have told them the club have “accepted” they can no longer afford both and will have to decide between one of the two attackers.
Rumors of a Neymar return simply refuse to go away and have been fuelled further this season by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both admitting they’d love to have him back.
The latest speculation has suggested PSG may be willing to let Neymar go this summer as their priority is to keep hold of Kylian Mbappe.
Lautaro Martinez has also been regularly linked with a move to the Camp Nou this season as a potential replacement for Suarez.
Yet the Inter Milan striker will not come cheap and reportedly has a €111 million release clause in his contract.
ESPN reckon that Neymar is the preferred option, although “some members of the club’s hierachy” feel Lautaro is a better option due to his age and position.
