Barcelona reportedly want to swap right-back Nelson Semedo for Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo in the summer transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, the coronavirus pandemic means clubs around Europe will be looking to swap players in the summer and Barca have their eyes on the 25-year-old.

Semedo’s future has been uncertain for a little while and there have been regular rumors Barcelona are willing to offload him in the next transfer window.

The Portugal international has featured in 21 of Barca’s 27 La Liga games in 2019-20 and said in February he thinks new manager Quique Setien has a lot of confidence in him.

Yet the report suggets he could be replaced by Cancelo, who has struggled to make much of an impact at the Etihad Stadium since his move from Juventus in August 2019.

Cancelo has only made eight Premier League starts and may welcome a new challenge.
