Philippe Coutinho to Chelsea nearing completion - report

Philippe Coutinho’s long awaited transfer back to England may be nearing completion, according to Sport. The Barcelona man has had a tumultuous period at the club since arriving from Liverpool a couple years ago and could move on again.

Currently on loan at Bayern Munich, Coutinho has been rumored to be looking for a return to the Premier League. Chelsea have been keen to look into the deal after it became clear Bayern weren’t going to pick up his option to buy.

Chelsea have a few things in their favor when it comes to getting a deal done. Barcelona were reportedly looking for €90 million to get the deal done.

However, due to the current economic situation, the price could change.

It helps Chelsea that Barcelona are pretty desperate for cash to get deals like Lautaro Martinez and Neymar close to completion.
