Fabo Capello reckons Lautaro Martinez should stay at Inter Milan because he will only be a substitute if he moves to Barcelona.

The Spanish champions have been heavily linked with the striker who is reported to be their top target to replace 33-year-old Luis Suarez.

Yet Capello thinks it would be a bad move for Martinez and also thinks Barca will be badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

”If I were him, I would stay at Inter, because at Barça he would be a substitute,” he said.

“The market will be revolutionized. Absurd numbers have been reached for transfers. We will return to a more reasonable level. Smart managers will be necessary to fix the system.

“It seems to me that in Spain (economically) the only team that will not be destroyed in this pandemic is Real Madrid. Barcelona and Atlético are going to suffer a lot,”

The latest reports have suggested that Barcelona are struggling to agree a deal with Inter for Lautaro. The striker has a €111m release clause but Barca would reportedly rather include players in the deal to get the price down.
