Racing Club president Victor Blanco seems to have been enjoying the whole Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona transfer saga and has once again offered his opinion on how things are going.

Lautaro moved to Inter from Racing in 2018 and Blanco is hoping the transfer does go through because it will see his club receive a substantial financial boost.

Here’s his latest thoughts on the saga:

“I get the feeling that Lautaro Martinez is close to a move to Barcelona, even if I haven’t talked to him recently,” he said.

“We will have a cut of the transfer, as fortunately we thought long-term when selling to Inter, even if the €2m to remove that clause was very tempting at the time.

“We decided to gamble on his future, without knowing if and when that was going to happen.”

Inter stand to make a pretty big profit on Lautaro if he does go. They signed him for around €22m but will sell him for at least twice that amount. Reports have suggested Barca are willing to play €60m plus two players with talks reportedly ongoing.
