Francisco Trincao’s former coach at Braga, José Carvalho Araújo, has been talking about the youngster who is set to move to Barcelona in the summer after agreeing a deal earlier in the season.

Araujo says that Trincao caught the eye from a young age with the Portuguese club and offered a bit of insight into what to expect from the youngster.

“Trincão is one of those who we noticed was different from an early age. Now it’s easy to talk, but I trained him in the under-13s (!), And for six years, so I know what I’m saying. He always showed an enormous capacity for work, what set him apart was the way he faced things. For him, playing football is a pleasure, a joy, and that is fundamental. For Trincão, it’s like playing with friends on the street or with Barcelona ...

“Barcelona has always been his goal, so, also knowing his childhood story, it is a huge pride to have contributed to achieved a kid’s dream. I am very happy to have been part of this process and to have helped the club to have a fantastic financial return.”
