Ivan Rakitic could be the key to Barcelona signing Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Mundo Deportivo report on Sunday that Spurs have become a serious option for Rakitic because other clubs have ruled out signing the Croatian.
Juventus think he’s too expensive for his age, Sevilla can’t afford him, Atletico Madrid can’t offer him a long enough contract and Inter would prefer Arturo Vidal.
All of which means Tottenham could be a possible option, which might also be good news for Ndombele who doesn’t seem to really get on with manager Jose Mourinho.
The report reckons Rakitic could be tempted by life in London and notes his agent, Arturo Canales, resides in the English capital and has good connections with Premier League clubs.
If Tottenham were to move for Rakitic it could then open up the possibility of Barca being able to bring Ndombele in after just one season with the north Londoners.
