Sandro Tonali’s agent, Beppe Bozzo, has played down rumors of a move to Barcelona by saying it’s better for the Brescia starlet to stay in Italy.

Reports in Italy have claimed Barca are willing to offer €60 million for Brescia’s highly-rated 19-year-old midfielder.

Other clubs have also been linked with the teenager but thinks Bozzo thinks he should remain in Serie A.

“He has passed his debut season in Serie A with flying colours.

“I haven’t spoken to President Cellino, but I have read with pleasure that he wants to give Sandro the last word.

“There are undoubtedly important prospects for Sandro, at his age, few have had this opportunity.

“It’s better for Sandro to stay in Italy. He can immediately establish himself at a top club and it would be a shame for Serie A to lose him.”

Brescia president Massimo Cellino has said recently “there are many big clubs” after Tonali and that he has “promised him that he could make the first choice on his future.”
