Papers: Barcelona set for €40m from Semedo, ‘Lautoro’ Martinez latest

Monday’s headlines are all about two possible big transfers in and out of the Camp Nou this summer, the departure of Nelson Semedo and the arrival of Lautaro Martinez.

Sport have Semedo on their front page and a report that the Portugal international will cost around €40m this summer.

The report reckons Barcelona are pretty close to finalising a transfer for the right-back to Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side would quite like to include Joao Cancelo in the deal, but Barcelona only want cash as they need to raise funds quickly.

Over at Mundo Deportivo there’s more news on Lautaro who is described as a ‘real bull’ and the player who is not only the most like Luis Suarez but the best partner for Lionel Messi.

MD have the stats to back it up too. The striker has 11 goals in 22 Serie A appearances but also does well when it comes to recovered balls, fouls received and kilometers travelled.

Indeed in all those categories he is above team-mate Inter Romelu Lukaku and also Cristiano Ronaldo which has helped convince Barca he’s the right man.
