Barcelona have asked Argentine club Velez Sarsfield about their 19-year-old starlet Thiago Almada.
Manager Pablo Cavallero says the Catalan giants have been in touch and added Almada is likely to be sold if an attractive offer arrives.
“I know that Barcelona has asked within the technical secretariat for Almada, but we know that he is only 19 years old and has to continue maturing,” he said.
“If an irresistible offer arrives for the player and the club, we will most likely consider it.”

There has been plenty of speculation about the midfielder recently. Premier League side Manchester United have been rumored as a possible destination.
Velez Sarsfield appear resigned to losing him too. A board member told ESPN that “there’s no way to hold on to him” as offers begin to arrive for their young star.
