There’s no chance the youngster leaves

ESPN reported today that a source at Barcelona said that club president Josep Bartomeu would “have to go into hiding” if Ansu Fati was sold. There have been sporadic reports in recent weeks that Manchester United have been interested in moving for Ansu Fati.

The reported sum of the offer has been around €150 million. To be clear, ESPN is also reporting that a Barcelona source made it clear that no official offer has been made for Fati. In all likelihood, the interactions between Manchester United and any representation from Barcelona regarding Fati are probably casual in nature.

There would be big problems at Barcelona if Fati was sold. Even if Fati was sold to fund a Neymar return, there’s a large contingent of fans and staff at the club who view Fati as the next big thing. For good reason.
