Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s contract doesn’t have all that much time left on it. The German has been negotiating a new contract with Barcelona for some time now and things haven’t gone entirely smooth thus far.

The goalkeeper wants a contract that places him among the highest paid at the club. Which to be clear, he deserves. Ter Stegen was sure to comfort Barca fans in an interview with the football podcast Kkicker meets DAZN.

“It’s not possible that I leave this summer. There have already been the first meetings between my agent and the club…. I feel good in Barcelona, and also my family feel good.”

There’s no chance Barcelona are foolish enough to let contract negotiations create a situation wherein Ter Stegen wants to leave the club. Let’s hope things get wrapped up quickly.
