Barcelona reportedly want to bring Eric Garcia back from Manchester City and have already seen an approach knocked back by Pep Guardiola’s side.
ESPN report that Barcelona have been told he’s not for sale when they raised the topic during talks of swapping Nelson Semedo and Joao Cancelo.
The report reckons Barcelona are still pretty keen on bringing in a defender this summer, although they have accepted a deal for Garcia is unlikely.
Garcia’s Man City contract is up in 2022 so Barca are expected to keep tabs on him in case there’s a chance he could be lured back to the Camp Nou in the future.
The Barcelona-born defender left La Masia for Manchester City in 2017 and has seen some game time this season with the Citizens, making 11 appearances in all competitions.
