Dani Alves has reportedly played a role in convincing Arthur to leave Barcelona and head to Juventus this summer.

The midfielder had said he didn’t want to leave the Camp Nou, but it seems he will depart in a deal that will see Miralem Pjanic move the other way.

Arthur has needed some serious convincing though and turned to Alves who spoke highly of Juventus, according to RAC1’s Gerard Romero.

The report reckons the deal is now close to being completed. Arthur is valued at €70m and Pjanic at €60m. The Barca midfielder will earn €5m a season with Juve.

For those that are interested there’s a pretty interesting thread on Twitter by Swiss Ramble that offers an interesting explanation on why both teams are so keen on this transfer.
