Ivan Rakitic has once again reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona and is confident he will still be at the club next season.
The midfielder is one of several players Barcelona are said to be keen to sell this summer in order to trim the squad and raise funds.
Rakitic has made it clear he would like to see out his contract at the Camp Nou, which expires at the end of next season, and has now offered another update on his future.
“I spoke to the club ten or 15 days ago and the conclusion is that I have nothing to talk about because I have a contract until the summer of 2021 with Barcelona and it is the entity I want to be in and play with.
“Furthermore, my wife and my daughters are good in the city. There is no reason to think about other things. I am training well and I am sure that Rakitic will be in Barcelona longer.”

Barcelona reportedly need to raise around €70 million in player sales before the end of the month. Rakitic seems to be one of those considered expendable but he’s clearly in no rush to go.
