Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is confident Fabian Ruiz will stay at the club this summer despite speculation Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in the midfielder.
Fabian is one of several players Barcelona are said to be keen on with reports claiming manager Quique Setien “dreams” of bringing him to the Camp Nou.
Meanwhile, Setien’s assistant Eder Sarabia has revealed he took home Fabian’s shirt after their Champions League last-16 tie in February.
Yet Giuntoli is confident Fabian will stay with the Serie A side and is also hopeful he can get him to agree to a contract extension too.
“He has three years left on his contract and next year we will talk about renewing. He is great with Gattuso’s 4-3-3, he is young, good and calm, so I think he will stay.”

Barcelona and Napoli will hopefully meet up again later this summer for the second leg of their Champions League tie. The competition is being tipped to resume in August.
