Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is continuing to play down reports that Lautaro Martinez will leave the club and join Barcelona in the summer.

The Catalan giants remain linked with the Argentine, with the latest reports suggesting they could pay €70 million plus Junior Firpo for the striker.

Yet Marotta insists that he’s not interested in the speculation and reiterated once again that Lautaro has not asked to leave.

“The rumours about Barça get lost in the void. What’s important are the facts. And it’s a fact that Lautaro is our player and that he’s never expressed a desire to leave,” insisted Marotta.

“He’s a serious guy who doesn’t let the hype and noise influence his decisions. He had a short period where he struggled but in the last few weeks he’s improved and shown his quality again.”

Any potential Barcelona move could also depend on the club selling players to raise funds in the first instance. Both Jean-Clair Todibo and Philippe Coutinho continue to be linked with a Camp Nou exit.
