There’s speculation the striker could return

Luis Suarez’s future is once again under scrutiny after Barcelona’s Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich.

The Uruguayan actually scored during the 8-2 defeat but put in the sort of performance that generally showed why Barca are so keen to bring in a new No. 9.

There have been reports that Suarez is one of several players Barcelona are willing to sell this summer if they receive a suitable offer.

And one may be about to arrive from former club Ajax. A journalist in Uruguay, Enzo Olivera, is reporting the Dutch side are ready to make the striker an offer.

Barcelona may just be in the mood to accept if it’s at the right price, while it’s possible Suarez could be tempted to return to the Eredivisie side where he’d be welcomed back.

Other reports recently have claimed there’s interest in Suarez from the MLS and Qatari side Al-Arabi.

Suarez’s contract expires next summer but will automatically renew if he plays 60 per cent of the team’s games.
