Sergi Roberto is not interested in leaving Barcelona and has not received any offers from other clubs, according to his agent Maria Orobitg.
Manchester City are rumored to be interested in signing the 28-year-old this summer but Orobitg has told Mundo Deportivo that “Sergi Roberto is not planning to leave Barça” and that “We have no interest from any club, nor has Barça sent us any proposal by the player.”
Roberto signed his latest Barcelona contract in 2018. President Josep Maria Bartomeu said at the time that: “he has had and will have a lot of better offers, but he’s decided to stay at Barca. This is his home.”
The contract runs until 2022 and has a buyout clause set at €500 million.
Roberto remains an important member of the squad. He is the fourth captain and has made 36 appearances in all competitions so far in 2019-20, either at right-back or more recently back in midfield.
