Ronald Koeman’s arrival at Barcelona has prompted a fresh batch of transfer rumors, and Memphis Depay is the latest Dutchman to be linked with a move to the Camp Nou.
According to RAC1, Koeman fancies bringing in the 26-year-old Lyon star to boost the Barcelona attack.
Depay is now the third Netherlands international to be linked with a move to Barcelona since Koeman was appointed on Wednesday. Koeman is also said to be keen on Donny van de Beek and Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum.
It’s a bit of a curious rumor but one that Mundo Deportivo are also talking about. They report Depay has previously asked to leave Lyon and would cost around €55 million.
MD reckon Koeman wants a ”more versatile player” than Suarez and note how Depay has 10 goals in 18 games for the Netherlands national team.
