Eric Garcia has reportedly made up his move to leave Manchester City for Barcelona and it’s now simply a question of whether he will return this summer or in 2021.

According to Sport, the defender “hopes an agreement” can be reached in the next few weeks but if not then “he’ll leave on a free transfer in 2021.”

Manchester City and Barcelona have been in talks and will continue negotiations once the Champions League is wrapped up later this month.

Pep Guardiola is keen for Garcia to stay and has been giving him minutes, but the 19-year-old can see Barca are rebuilding and realizes he could play a big part in their new team.

Barcelona have already decided that Garcia is one of four centre-backs they want at the club next season along with Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet and Ronald Araujo.
