Barcelona reportedly need to pay Luis Suarez €14 million if they are to terminate his contract at the Camp Nou early.
The striker has already been told he’s not part of Ronald Koeman’s plans, and the club could now look to pay off his remaining contract that still has a year to run, according to Goal.
Suarez was at Barcelona on Sunday for PCR testing and is expected to be at the club again on Monday to begin pre-season testing.
Sport are reporting that Suarez will not negotiate with other clubs until his contract with the Catalan giants has been wrapped up.
The striker wants to leave “in the best possible way” and would even be happy to stay if Koeman changes his mind about his plans for the future.
Suarez has already been linked with a host of clubs including Ajax, Juventus, Atletico, PSG and Inter ahead of the start of the 2020-21 season.
